A few weeks ago @ESGoldberg the Editor of the Huffington Post Impact, wrote an informative piece on 9, “unfair ways women have to deal with their periods worldwide — and what’s being done about it”.
Sometimes it is easy to forget about the bigger issues surrounding sanitary products and their distribution. When you go to your local shop at 1AM because you forgot to buy your monthly supply of pads and tampons, you don’t often think about the women in Nepal who are banished into dark rooms during their cycle, or the women in Bolivia that are led to believe menstruation causes Cancer. However, like many women in developed countries, you likely do feel that tinge of awkwardness standing in the feminine hygiene isle. You probably have felt that uncomfortable interaction with the check-out person and everyone else in line behind you.
